Digital Literacies 1 & 2: a free and open online course

Digital Literacies 1 begins on July 8 and will explore ethical, effective, and efficient use of web-based tools in the classroom. This is a self-paced MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) supported through TechSets, the California Department of Education and the San Diego County Office of Education. Digital Literacies 2 will begin in mid- to late September. Topics include:

  • Using mobile technologies for teaching and learning
  • Techniques for developing non-linear presentations
  • Methods for using Quick Response (QR) codes in teaching and learning
  • The use of digital cameras
  • Developing blogs and websites
  • Producing podcasts
