Please read this important information about online accounts for all students under 13 years of age. The Manchester School District is collecting permission for the creation/use of all online accounts, including G Suite for Education. NOTE: this is not a permission form for general internet use, but is permission for online accounts. Please see the technology department web site for more information about the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA) at trc.mansd.org/coppa.
Google ID for Students: Student user IDs are based on LASSIDs and look like email@example.com -- for example -- firstname.lastname@example.org. This creates a uniform ID that is also the same as a student's lunch and library ID.
Passwords for Students: The initial default password is the students' date of birth in the format mmddyyyy. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that all students choose a new password. Look on the left menu under How To > Password Management for information about choosing and managing passwords.
PASSWORD RESET for Staff and Students: District Google/Gmail passwords must be reset by a Google Administrator. If you change your password and forget what it is please use the forms under the "Get Account Help" menu. A lightweight admin role can be assigned to staff who would like to be able to reset student passwords on their own. Please submit a request at help.mansd.org.
Remember to protect your account and create a secure password.
